From the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to the back roads of the Texas Panhandle. the northern region of Texas is diverse and offers a little of everything for the discriminate travelers.

Not far away are a number of attractions, from wildlife parks to themed attractions, there's a little something for everyone in the family. And dining and shopping, well it's first class in the high fashion world of Big D.


Not far down Texas' most famous tollway you'll find plenty of history in historic Fort Worth. Start at the Fort Worth stockyards, a place where you can eat like a Texas king, shop till you drop, enjoy the cattle drives through the streets, catch a rodeo performance if the season is right and explore life of the Old West in this well-preserved historic gem. cowboy up to an old-style saloon or take your sweetheart for a spin on a Texas dance floor, you'll understand why Texas is famous for the cowboy lifestyle with a visit to this grand old Cow Town.


If you are in to water sports, there are plenty of lakes and resorts dotting a good part of the North Texas region, Take in some water skiing or fishing if you like angling or rent a boat and enjoy the sunshine! And where you'll find lakes in Texas, there's a good chance there's a golf course nearby, another one of the state's favorite past times. Check out one of the many world class courses to be found across the region.


But son't think North Texas is just about the city lights and attractions. There's charm and attrctions at every turn. Visit historic towns and cities like Sherman-Denison, McKinney, Denton, Paris, Mineral Wells. Head east and visit Tyler, Rose Capital of Texas, and Longview ans Historic Jefferson.

On the way stop by the largest flea market in the state for a First Monday celebration or enjoy the dogwoods in bloom .
