The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has grown to one of the largest, most prestigious single events in the City of San Antonio, with over two million visitors entering the grounds each year. Every February, the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo hosts an 18-day event featuring PRCA Rodeo Action, world-class entertainment, carnival, a family-fair area with petting zoos and educational exhibits, livestock and horse shows and sales, and shopping at over 650 booths. The annual event is so important to the City of San Antonio and its traditions that each school lets out on Friday, opening day of the rodeo and the city is traeted to a grand parade that weaves its way through downtown streets. When it comes to serious rodeo competition, you won't find any better than the professional cowboys that compete for points and prize money in the arena. In addition to dozens of hard riding rodeo events. viewers are also entertained with a colorful arena entry parade and, of course, music and rodeo clowns. Also a major draw to the San Antonio Rodeo is great entertainment, and this year is no exception. In 2017, the major draw may well be Texas born and bred legend Willie Nelson.
