Marquez 2402 Cornerstone Blvd Edinburg, Texas 78539 Dear Dr. Marquez: On April 22, 2005, you replaced my left knee with a prosthetic knee that you designed. This is a letter 3 years later to let you know how I am doing with this new knee. I love this knee! I really don't or can't tell the difference from my natural right knee, the best compliment of all is the fact that I constantly think "oh yeah, I replaced that knee". We have been in Terlingua, Texas, for the last three months mountain biking. I usually help with a big time bike race down here called the "Mas O Meno 100K", we take entries for 30K, 50K, and 1ooK races. The race had over 450 racers from as far as Oregon, it is nationally sanctioned. I was working on registrations and thought to myself, "if you think you can do this race, now would be a good time, cause you are not getting any younger"... so I entered. I knew I would do pretty well in the 50 year old and over class, I didn't realize that my class was 40-99 year olds because they don't have that many women over 50 who enter....... I think I finished third in the 30K. This is a pretty big deal for me because I am 50 years old. It is starting to get hot in Terlingua, so will migrate back to Steamboat. On the way up we will spend two weeks water skiing and golfing at our place on Lake Granbury. When we get home we will be hiking the back country, mountain biking, riding our Harley's ................. and working (we are ohotographers and wedding season is coming up).
